This document assumes you have requested and been emailed an RSA Soft Token file to configure the RSA Token app on your Apple iPad and/or iPhone. You will need access to the RSA Soft Token email on the device you wish to configure. 


If you do not have the soft token email, please call the Helpdesk @ 702-258-3145, to request the token be resent.


Installing RSA Token App on your iOS device


Personal Apple iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Apple App Store and search for 'RSA SecurID'
  2. Once located, click 'Get' to begin install on your device.
  3. You will get prompted for your Apple ID and password to complete the install process.
  4. Confirm RSA app was installed and open it.
  5. Accept the initial Agreement message.
  6. Skip to importing token steps below.


District issued Apple iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the 'App Catalog' or 'Company Portal' apps and search for 'RSA SecurID'
  2. Once located, click 'Get' to begin install on your device.
  3. May receive additional prompt during install. Press 'OK' or 'Accept' to proceed.
  4. You should NOT get prompted for your Apple ID or password
  5. Close the App Catalog or Company Portal.
  6. Confirm RSA app was installed and open it.
  7. Accept the initial Agreement message.
  8. Skip to importing token steps below.


Importing RSA Token into RSA app

Note: To complete the steps below, it is easiest to perform from Apple native email app. If the RSA email was sent to another email account or app, you may want to forward it to an account that you access through your native email app.

  1. Open your Native email app and locate the email with the RSA Toke attachment.
  2. Locate the attachment in the email. Click 'Tap to Download'.
  3. A box with options will appear.
  4. Scroll through the list of Apps to locate the RSA App. If not present, look for a white button with three dots in it and click on it for additional options.
  5. Look through the various Suggested apps and click on 'RSA'. • If you still do not see RSA, please confirm RSA was actually installed and that you opened and clicked to agree to the licensing agreement. • Try steps 1-4 above again.
  6. You should see a 'Token Import box pop up with a 'Token successfully imported' message inside.
  7. Click 'OK'


Testing RSA Token Code

  1. Follow provided VPN instructions for connecting on Windows, Mac, or iOS devices.
  2. Confirm you are able to successfully connect using the code generated through the above RSA app.
